TheirPresence is a private space for preserving the memory of people you've lost. Before you use it, please read these terms carefully. By creating an account, you agree to them.

Your responsibility for what you share

You confirm you have the right to share the materials you bring here. This means photos, voice recordings, written messages, and any other content belongs to you or you have permission to use it. TheirPresence is not responsible for materials shared without proper rights.

What TheirPresence does with what you share

We store what you share securely. We do not sell it, share it, or use it for anything other than building and maintaining the presence you create. We use third-party services to handle voice and conversation — those services are named in our Privacy Policy.

The nature of what TheirPresence creates

The presence we build is a reconstruction built from memory, not the person. TheirPresence makes no claims about the accuracy or authenticity of what it produces. It is built from the materials you share and your responses to our questionnaire.

Emotional wellbeing

We encourage you to use TheirPresence alongside — not instead of — real human support. If you are struggling with grief, please reach out to someone who can help. TheirPresence is not a mental health service.

Gifts

You can purchase a TheirPresence plan as a gift for someone else. Gifts are delivered by email on the date you choose, and remain redeemable for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase. We will email the gifter approximately thirty (30) days before a gift expires. Unredeemed gifts past the expiry date may be refunded by writing to us at hello@theirpresence.com. Once a gift has been redeemed, it cannot be returned, and the recipient becomes the holder of the plan on their account.

Account and cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Your vault and its contents remain intact after cancellation. We will always notify you before making any changes to your stored materials.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll let you know. Continued use of TheirPresence after changes means you accept the updated terms.
